*  The American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers Professional Designations:

The MAI designation is the highest appraiser designation and is held by appraisers who are experienced in the valuation of commercial, industrial, residential, and other types of properties who advise clients on real estate investment decisions.

The SRA designation is held by appraisers who are experienced in the valuation of single-family homes, townhouses, residential income properties of up to and including four units.

The SRPA designation is held by appraisers who are experienced in the valuation of all varieties of income producing properties.
